Why do we look for rain?
One cloud moves across the face of the sun
I raise my voice in praise
hoping for the blessing of rain,
more clouds form
cooling the hot air.

Why do we sing praises?
One God
sends his prophets
to proclaim love to humanity,
we raise our voices in praise
gathering in places of worship,
calling God the creator
by many names
yet all praising and loving
one Essence.
