What I have learned about writing poetry
Today’s lesson in writing poetry concerns attempting a new
or unfamiliar form. Never attempt to write a poem in a form you are not
familiar with when you are tired.
I wanted to use the Brady’s Touch form, but I ended up
writing a free verse poem. It took me a couple of minutes of staring at a blank
screen before I realized I was too tired to attempt a new form. I will try
writing a poem using this form again in a couple of days.
