Out of the corner of my eye

Daily writing practice prompt for Thursday, June 18, 2009 was “Out of the corner of my eye.”

Out of the corner of my eye, I watch the day pass. I sit at my computer writing, working as the sky changes from predawn white to morning blue.

Out of the corner of my eye, I watch as the day passes and the sky changes from evening blue to midnight black.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see the postal carrier come up to the door and drop the mail through the slot.

Out of the corner of my eye, ...

NOTE: This piece looks like its going to be a prose poem. I haven't written a prose poem in sometime, so it's about time for me to write another.
