Thankful Thursday after 50 mph winds

Today I am thankful that the elm tree in my yard did not fall on the roof of the garage. I am not sure when it did fall last night because the wind made so much noise that you could not hear anything else. Now I have a tree laying in my front yard and I have no idea how I am going to get it removed. The Tree in My Front Yard sounds like a good title for a short story or a poem.
The tree in my front yard
lay there up rooted by last night's wind
50 mph gust the meteorologist said,
but it sounded like 60 mph gust to me.
