Living more secure in cities

This is one of the entries for The Philips Livable Cities Award; this entry proposes an idea to help the elderly live independently. This is the Neighborhood Network Scheme, which gives the elderly access to welfare services. As a senior or elderly citizen myself, I know how important these services are to independent living in large and small cities across the world.
