My First Free Calendar for 2011
I received my first free calendar for 2011 yesterday. It was the 2011 Water Smart Calendar from the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA). It is a thirteen-month calendar beginning with December 2010 and ending with December 2011. The photography used is by Andrew Cattoir, a SNWA staff member.
Each month has a different photo showing examples of local landscape designs and desert plants. The photos are inspiring and good focuses for meditation. I enjoy looking at the calendar and I am looking forward to see what type of poems the photographs inspire. The photo on the front of the calendar inspired the following haiku.
Cactus flowers bloom
Pink yellow and white blossom
A year of beauty
