Nothing to Writing
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." — Ernest Hemingway
Hemingway is right about writing. The difference today is that instead of sitting down at a typewriter, an author sits down at a computer keyboard. Of course, a hundred or so years before Mr. Hemingway, an author used pen and ink.
The technology of writing has changed in the past hundred years, but the emotions an author puts into his or her writing has changed little. A writer needs to be in touch with his or her emotions because those can make a story. The best instruments a writer can have is mind and soul.
