Already December

It's December
the year has pass
like water flowing over
Niagara falls.

It's already December
as the year comes to a close
we contemplate
January's resolutions
wondering why
we didn't accomplish all of them.

December cold
penetrates our bones
sending shivers up our spines
or is it another
birthday that sends the shivers;
knowing another year
brings us closer
to the final curtain.
