Day Light Saving Time has Ended

1 Qudrat 164 B.E. - Sunday, November 4, 2007 about 9:17 AM PST

Daylight savings time has ended, it's now standard time again. Today and tomorrow are going to seem extra long because the time on the clock is earlier than the time my mind and body say. It takes me two or three days to get used to the change and for my body clock to reset.

The change is time is interesting because while Las Vegas looks like it should be part of Mountain Standard Time its part of Pacific Standard Time. Arizona, which is right next door to Nevada, doesn't change from Standard Time to Daylight Time. This means that during the months of Daylight Savings Time the time in Arizona and Nevada is the same. During the months of Standard Time there is an hours difference.

This difference is noticeable if you live in Kingman, Arizona (a bedroom community of Las Vegas) and work in Nevada. I know only one person who lives in Arizona and drives to Las Vegas to work. That has to make for some interesting and dark driving this time of year.
