The difference between Senryu and Haiku

Contest: A Senryu

Rules carefully read
Then stanza by stanza write
Syllable and rhyme

The senryu and haiku are both Japanese poetry forms of 5, 7, 5 syllables. The subject of a senryu concerns human nature or a similar subject, while the haiku covers nature. I have noticed that sometimes, I misidentify my senryu as haiku. I will attempt to correct this in the future.

Contest: A Haiku

Birds are racing past
Their wings beating in the wind
The winner descends
