Happy Birthday Elvis Presley

Today, January 8, 2010, Elvis Aaron Presley would be 75 years old. When I was growing up, Elvis Presley was one of my favorite singers. I say one of my favorite singers because he was one of about four or five male singers I could listen to all day.

I think I was in love with Elvis for a while, but then every girl I knew was in love with Elvis. I dreamed of going to one of his concerts. I dreamed of going to see him perform. I saw most of his movies, either at the theater or on T.V. I remember seeing watching T.V. the night he was on the Ed Sullivan show.

I stared at the screen
couldn't take my eyes off him
and I fell in love.
